All, you old-time queens, from New Orleans, who lived in Storyville

You sang the blues, try to amuse, here's how they pay the bill

The law step-in and call it sin to have a little fun

The police car has made a stop and Storyville is done

StoryVille Bleeds

Storyville, Louisiana: not the first and not the last but the most notorious vice district in New Orleans, active between 1897 to 1917. Storyville was a real place, and that is where reality ends and our gothic horror begins. In this world characters are fictionalized, magic is real, ghosts talk back, and curses kill. STORYVILLE BLEEDS is a reimagined chronicle of the destruction of a wickedly rich and unique Victorian vice district.

Our tale begins with Lady, the infamous madam of Mahogany Hall, a premier sumptuous brothel that housed women of color ranging from alabaster to umber. When she is involved in a tragic event at her bordello, the lives of a young girl and her unborn child are lost. In secret, a hooded figure puts a powerful curse on Lady and her establishment. To complicate matters Tom Anderson, a political boss, ultimate vice entrepreneur and extortionist, puts Lady in the middle of his fight with the church.

Meanwhile, the curse strikes, and Lady becomes haunted by the ghost of her dead husband, now star-crossed lovers for seeming eternity. Lady, desperate to find out why she is at the center of terrifying paranormal phenomena, consults her psychic sister, who sends her on a path of redemption, the theory being that atoning for her past sins will lead her to the caster and resolution.

Lady is the catalyst that starts the ticking clock to Storyville’s demise. When the curse spreads, it is like a virus contaminating her and her vice cohorts, changing them into literal monsters.

Can Lady stop Storyville’s downfall? Either way, it’s a wild ride.
